The joy of black-and-white painting is provocative, philosophical, engaging, and poetic. In ‘World of Black & White’ paintings, I try to show the more lyrical side of visual culture as it is represented in a painting. From science fiction film motifs to Frank Stella geometric abstractions, video game worlds to avant-garde alternative, experimental pop, I try to forge my unique visual language from different cultural references and melt it into a vast gray-scale overture. Overall, I express my perspective on the artist's inner state within a world influenced by the cultural logic of late capitalism, a context that shapes and informs my artistic expression.
